The US capitol was stormed January 6 by Trump supporters that were intending to ’Stop the Steal’. This memorable assault was during Covid and freezing temperatures that dipped into the teens. It has been called the ‘Day of Insurrection’ where one woman died and many were injured as the rioters broke into the chambers of the capitol building.
I had been working on a documentary ‘Vote America’ which was documenting female voters and why they were voting for trump. I also wanted to hear from both sides of the aisle as a huge political divide was developing. The documentary first aired through a few platforms in 2021.
