The Franciscan sisters in Bushulo women’s hospital in Ethiopia retrained in Neo natal, midwifery and family counseling for women struggling with their health, managing a family and being financially self reliant. The government run Ethiopian hospitals are outdated and filthy and many women battle post natal mortality.
The sisters have devoted their lives to volunteering their existence to the health and well being of women. Sister Juno, cares for unwanted premature babies in the NIC Unit. Sister Anne runs the women’s workshop and the SOS unit helping women re acclimate to the family with so many tasks after child birth. Sister Camilla, the midwife, who brings modern techniques to the delivery room.
